Do it for your health, your community and our environment.

Monday, May 31st will mark the launch of the 3rd Annual Essex County Spring Cleanse. This event being held at Hospice (6038 Empress Street, 519-251-2590) will feature guest speakers discussing:

  • Environmental toxins and how they affect our health
  • How food can help you detoxify and be your best medicine
  • Daily habits to help stay healthy by improving your ability to detoxify
  • Yoga’s relevance in physical and emotional well being

The intent of this evening is to expose Essex County to the proactive steps they can take to improve their health and to expose them to the many resources available in our community to do so.

The official cleanse week commences on Sunday June 6th and finishes on Saturday June 12th and includes:

The cleanse itself involves a commitment of seven days of guided, healthy eating, designed to detoxify the body.

The week will be filled with complimentary yoga classes, cooking classes, and more.

Each event is free however donations are collected and donated back to Hospice and Yoga for Hope 2010 (www.pajamaangels.org).

This year we have partnered with Hospice, who will host the launch on Monday, May 31st and will help promote the Essex County Spring Cleanse. With their involvement and yours, we hope to have over a thousand participants.

Registration is easy, free, and comes with a complete package that provides participants with a wealth of information about cleansing and includes a comprehensive meal plan, shopping list, and delicious recipes courtesy of Naturopathic Doctor Natasha Zajmalowski and Nude Food founder Renee Trepanier. Event organizers aim to show Essex County residents that healthy eating can be easy and inexpensive.
